This book is an entertaining narrative about a boy and his friend who steal a shiny object (the gizmo) from a strange man at their local market. It turns out that the gizmo has a power which they did not anticipate. This book is a very entertaining novel which follows the traditional narrative structure of a setting, complication, climax and resolution. This book could be very useful within an education setting because it is appropriate to demonstrate structure and language features of narrative as compared to other text types.
