This week I have also been reading ‘First’ Day by Margaret Wild which is a childrens picture book. The book follows the first day of six different children and one adult starting their first day of school. I think that this narrative would be hard to follow for some children because of so many different characters but the author does include some positive key ideas which children could engage in such as creating friendships.
